    The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

    We have a pig on the smoker, a couple of potatoes just for a veggie, and I will make a Basque cheesecake for mommas desert just because I love her and she needs to lay off the sugar right now. The pig is wrapped in chicken wire to keep it from falling apart while the fat gets to drip on the potatoes as everything smokes over a mix of mesquite, oak, apple, hickory, and bourbon infused charcoal.

      The pig only weighed 150 pounds after cleaning with the head on so it will be gone by nights end, we have friends coming for supper and conversation. Kind of a way to let the town get to meet the babies before they come into this world and help heal old rifts between people. Just a night of good food and a few drinks among neighbors with no fights allowed.

      Come summer I am planning a retirement party of sorts, like I will ever retire fully, but there will be a few hundred people for a weekend. Relatives will be up from Mexico and all over the US as well as people from all across Texas. Think several smokers, four wheel drives, tons of booze, a bonfire, and most likely several brawls.
      But tonight is just about an issue in our tiny map dot of a town that does not involve my ass for a change.

    I had a super healthy lunch today. Two kinda small corndogs I dipped in mustard and leftover Mac and cheese that I only ate a few bites of and put back in the refrigerator. My eyes are always bigger than my stomach.:joyful:

    I made a chicken pot pie. I had frozen some pastry dough I made earlier this year, I had the stuff, ‘tis the season, why not.
