Play Video A ravenous crocodile killed a beachgoer and swam near the shore, clutching his body in its jaws. The deadly reptile was lurking below the surface as Sadarwinata, 51, paddled in the turquoise waters of Talise Beach in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, on March 27. Locals said they screamed upon seeing the croc's silhouette darting toward the unsuspecting man. However, their warnings were drowned out by his paddling. Horrified onlookers watched as the fearsome predator caught up to the swimmer before clamping down on him and thrashing him in a brutal death roll.
