Samantha Ruth Prabhu Cheers For Varun Dhawan, Raj And DK As Citadel Honey Bunny Wins Big At News18 Showsha Reel Awards
Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Varun Dhawan and Raj&Dk had a big win at the News18 Showsha Reel Awards.
The News18 Showsha Reel Awards this year proved extra lucky for the team of Citadel: Honey Bunny as Varun Dhawan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Raj&Dk all emerged as winners. The web series was made by Raj and DK and featured Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in key roles. Varun bagged the Best Actor (OTT) trophy, Samantha won the Best Actress (OTT) award and Raj and DK were the Best Directors in the OTT segment.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu then took to her Instagram handle to proudly flaunt the trophies. She wrote, “#CitadelHoneyBunny the gift that keeps on giving. #BestDirector Raj and Dk, #BestActor Varun Dhawan and me." Have a look here:

The web series was made by Raj and DK and featured Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in key roles. Raj & DK’s Citadel: Honey Bunny is a prequel to Russo Brothers’ Citadel. The series also stars Kay Kay Menon, Simran Bagga, Sikandar Kher and Saqib Saleem in key roles. Although Samantha didn’t mention in her story, she won the Best Actress (OTT) Award for her stellar performance in the web series.
While accepting her honour, Samantha said, “It’s an honour to be here in such esteemed company and I mean I’ve all the other nominees that you know actors that I really look up to so this truly is an honour for me actually just completing the series was an award enough for me considering the circumstances so I would like to dedicate this award to the people who believed in me Raj, DK, Sita and Varun thank you for putting up with me the patience that all of you show to complete the show I know it wasn’t easy I’m extremely extremely grateful all I did was show up and you guys really took care of me on this one so I am forever grateful thank you."
